Brexit Party SURGE: Latest polls show Nigel Farage could WIN - How to join Brexit party

The UK will take to the polls to elect Members of European Parliament (MEPs) on Thursday, May 23. Europe-wide results are expected on Sunday, May 26, and the most recent polls place the Brexit Party ahead in the race. Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party is a Eurosceptic party formed in January 2019 and is formed of four Welsh Assembly Members and 14 MEPs.

The latest polling average puts Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party ahead of both Labour and the Conservatives.

The Brexit Party has 30 percent compared to Labour with 21 per cent and the Tories’ at 12 percent according to a Survation poll of 1303 people aged 18 or over between May 8 and May 9.

If the polls ring true on election day, the Conservatives would fall to their lowest vote share in a national election since they formed in 1834.

The Liberal Democrats, Greens and Change UK, who all call for a second referendum, collectively have 28 percent of the public’s vote.

Whilst Ukip and the Brexit Party who are pushing for a no deal have a collective 34 percent.

Conservative MPs have blamed frustration at Mrs May’s failure to take Britain out of the EU as planned on March 29 for the heavy losses the party suffered in the English council elections.

They now fear the party is heading for another series of losses at the hands of Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party in the European elections.

How can you join the Brexit Party?

Support for the Brexit Party is growing, and this was clear as Mr Farage spoke to a loyal hundreds-strong crowd in Merthyr, South Wales, on Wednesday who each paid £2.50 to see him.

As he stood on stage in the car park of a newly built shopping centre he said: “The reason we’ve got division in this country ... is many in our establishment far from respecting the (referendum) vote have done everything they can in the last two years to overturn the greatest democratic exercise in the history of our nation,”

“And it is a total and utter disgrace.”

The crowd booed when Mr Farage named those “establishment politicians” such as Mrs May and former prime ministers, Tony Blair and John Major.
