France weather forecast: HEAVY SHOWERS as sudden dip in temperatures hit France

France will be hit by cold temperatures and heavy rain this Friday as a low pressure system swipes through the continent. BBC Weather reports the system will bring “increasingly showery weather” to parts of France as well as Spain over the weekend. The drizzly weather will smash into most of the northern and western parts of Europe.

What is the weather forecast for France this week?

BBC Weather forecaster Sarah Keith-Lucas warned heavy rainfall will smash into France as the weekend approaches.

In her continent-wide weather forecast Ms Keith-Lucas said: “There is a lot of unsettled weather in the forecast across many parts of Europe for the coming few days.

“It has been really warm across Iberia but temperatures on the dip for Portugal and Spain with some heavy showers across the Pyrenees.

“Plenty of heavy showers right across southern parts of France and into Italy too.

“There is all that unsettled weather for southern France and into the north of Spain.”

The weather forecaster also warned there will be a sudden dip in temperatures on Friday afternoon and into Saturday as parts of the continent, including France, face cooler, showery and windy weather.

Ms Keith-Lucas continued: “There will be showers on and off in Paris (…) over the next five days or so.”

What is the weather forecast for France next week?

Britons who are jetting of to France for half term next week will be met with changeable weather throughout the week.

On Bank Holiday Monday, the weather in France’s capital of Paris will see showers in the morning.

However, temperatures will be in the low 20Cs and winds will be weak, making it a relatively fine day in the French capital.

Tuesday, May 28 will see rain as well and highs of 18C throughout the day.

Rain will also hit Paris on both Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31.

On Wednesday the best weather will appear with few clouds and sunny spells with temperatures just below 20C.

According to predictions are that Thursday, May 30 will have the most precipitation with an accumulation of around 11mm.
