Texas shooting: Deputy Sherrif shot in the neck at vets - one dead three injured

Four people were shot in two different locations in Cleveland Texas on Wednesday. One woman was killed while two other were injured at a shooting in plumbing company along Highway 321 in Cleveland. Deputy Richard Whitten gave chase to the shooter, as the suspect pulled into the Big Thicket Veterinary Clinic and was shot in the neck. The sheriff was rushed to hospital and is now in stable condition.

The shooter has been identified as Pavol Vido who lived in a metal container behind the clinic.

There have been no updates on the extent of the other victims' injuries.

Vido is said to be on the run, and was last seen speeding off in a white 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis.

Seven Cleveland ISD schools are on lock down as police continue investigating the incident.
