“Trains are unable to call at Hadfield station and will instead start and terminate at Glossop.”

The website also advises commuters not to travel between the following locations

  • Sheffield and Lincoln/ Gainsborough
  • Hendon Bridge and Manchester Victoria
  • Sheffield and Doncaster

Northern Rail tweeted an update on rail services, warning due to heavy flooding on the railway, some lines are blocked.

Northern Rail has issued the following advice to travellers:

Train services running across the whole Northern network may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
