How dull royal duties lost there sparkle for Meghan, says ANN WIDDECOMBE

Nobody who looks at the map the UK after the General Election can fail to be struck by how divided our four nations have become from each other. In Scotland, the SNP took 48 seats out of 60; in Northern Ireland, nationalist MPs outnumbered unionists for the first time ever; in Wales, despite a Tory surge, Welsh Labour won the highest share of the vote and a majority of the seats, and of course in England, a clear victory for the Conservatives.
