UK flood warning MAPPED: Is YOUR area affected by gales and floods after Storm Brendan?

Throughout the rest of the week the weather will turn much wetter and windier.

The Met Office forecast for Thursday reads: “Wind and rain spreading quickly across Northern Ireland and Scotland, before moving across England and Wales.

“Rain locally heavy in the west with coastal gales.”

On Friday to Sunday, the weather will include sunny spells and showers on Friday which will be heavy at times.

It will become colder over the weekend with early frost and fog patches and it will be mainly dry and sunny with light winds.

In Scotland there will be a lot of cloud and rain later on.
